To Our FITSPACE Community,
We are delighted to announce that FITSPACE will be reopening this coming Wednesday, June 10. We are excited to see you all back in the space and appreciate your understanding while we were closed to do our part to control the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The entire FITSPACE team would like to thank you for your loyalty and support by attending virtual training sessions during the past few months.
Many things have changed, but one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. We will be continuously monitoring governing agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. Your health and safety continue to be our highest priority as we carefully prepare and update our procedures and train our team to do all that we can to keep you and our team safe.
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing during training sessions. That might mean you will have fewer options for scheduling your appointments. For your peace of mind and preparation, the following procedures will be in place to provide a safe training experience:
· Prior to each training session, your trainer will ask you the following questions. If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, you will be asked to refrain from entering the facility:
1. Have you been confirmed positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
2. Are you currently experiencing, or recently experienced, any acute respiratory illness symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath?
3. Have you been in close contact without proper PPE with any persons who has been confirmed positive for COVID-19?
· Face masks are required for FITSPACE staff and independent trainers indoors. Clients are recommended to wear face masks indoors but not required. Face masks do not need to be worn for outdoor training.
· Temperature checks will be required each day for FITSPACE staff and independent personal trainers.
· Every client must sign the new waiver at each FITSPACE facility the first time they enter the space. The waivers will be located in the entry with hand sanitizer.
· All sessions must be booked ahead of time using the MindBody scheduling software. This will ensure compliance with limits on capacities in the spaces. If you are communicating with your trainer they can take care of that for you.
· Payments for sessions must be handled online or at the facility with a stored credit card whenever possible. No cash transactions will be handled until further notice.
· Only one-on-one training sessions will be offered inside the facility at this time. Partner training or group training sessions will be conducted outdoors or virtually.
· Supervised workouts will not be allowed at this time.
· Equipment will be cleaned before and after each training session. No equipment will be shared between clients until it has been sanitized.
· Social distancing practices will be observed at all times for training staff and clients both inside the facility and outdoors. A minimum of 6 feet between trainers and clients should be maintained throughout the training session.
· Clients should wash or sanitize hands upon entering and existing the space. Training staff will wash or sanitize hands before and after each training session.
· The locker rooms and showers will be closed until further notice. Clients are encouraged to use the restroom at home, but the restrooms are available for use.
· We will not have coffee, tea or cups available for use. FITSPACE staff and clients need to bring their own water bottles. The automatic water bottle filler can be used.
· Towels will not be available for use. Clients will need to bring their own towels for use in the facility.
· Clients are encouraged to bring their own mats. FITSPACE will have mats available for use and need to be cleaned before and after each use.
· Cardio equipment use will be limited to a maximum of 5 minutes at a time.
